Mohsen BaAbdullah is an experienced Chief Information Officer and Transformation Strategy Officer with a distinguished record across government and private healthcare sectors. He has successfully led large-scale digital transformation programs involving complex process redesign, cultural change, and cross-functional collaboration among multinational medical and non-medical teams.
He has extensive experience advancing digital maturity across Saudi hospitals and health systems, integrating AI into clinical workflows, and aligning transformation initiatives with Vision 2030. Mohsen holds three master’s degrees—in Management of Information Technology (MIT), Business Administration (MBA), and Healthcare Services & Hospital Management—and professional certifications including Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO), Certified Digital Health Executive (CDH-E) from CHIME, and Transformation in Healthcare from Harvard University. He has contributed to the development of AI maturity assessment frameworks, AI strategies and roadmaps, data governance models, and ethical AI oversight structures aligned with HIMSS EMRAM, SDAIA, and the EU AI Act.
Mohsen is an active participant in international digital-health communities, sharing insights on AI readiness, governance, and responsible innovation across the healthcare ecosystem.
