Dr. Ahmed M. AlDammas

Dr. Ahmed M. AlDammas is a national leader in digital transformation, cybersecurity, governance, and data management in Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector. With over 26 years of experience, he has driven the modernization of the digital health insurance ecosystem, leading major initiatives such as NPHIES, enhancing interoperability, data quality, and sector-wide cybersecurity compliance above 96%.

Previously serving as CISO, CDO, and CRO, he has shaped governance frameworks, risk management programs, and national digital strategies. He represents Saudi Arabia at international forums including HIMSS, GISEC, ZIMAM, and ThinkTech, and was awarded the 2022 HIMSS “Best CISO in the Health Sector.”
Dr. AlDammas also consults at King Saud University’s Center of Excellence for Information Security and holds a Ph.D., MBA, M.Sc., and B.Sc. in Computer Science. His expertise combines technical mastery, executive leadership, and policy vision, advancing a secure, data-driven, and digitally empowered health ecosystem aligned with Vision 2030.
